The real me? These are question everyone asks of their mates, their crushes, and their friends. With society’s unrealistic expectation of beauty, and body image placed on the youth of today. These expectations placed on the youth both sets false idols and impossible goals for both genders. The social media of today bombards the youth. As a parent combatting these outside influences is often, often like trying plug a hole in the hull of a boat with your finger; you’re stuck in one place unable to see the other damage dragging the boat down. By using classical Renaissance poses, but focusing on the face showing the subjects in a natural state stripped of make-up and un-edit; to show natural beauty exist in everyone with subjects coming from a variety of walks of life, ages and sizes.
